Brynna makes some excellent point which I mostly agree with.
I guess I don’t understand how this can be enforced? Is every individual from a team blacklisted, or the team in general? If I stay and two of my teammates leave, am I blacklisted? Who is keeping track? Why not at least have a three-point system as opposed to jumping to something that sounds as threatening as blacklisting?
It also presupposes that as a performer, I have no problems improvising for an empty room. That I just wanna show up, perform for three people, and leave. That the host is the only person concerned with crowd numbers who carries the burden of bringing people. Actually…I like performing in front of LOTS of people. I want people there. We all do. Have their been discussions amongst staff and hosts about how to, I dunno, find ways to work WITH performers to bring in guests?
I love IO. I love performing there and I love the multitude of opportunities they provide to do so. But aren’t there better ways to do this?
